Privacy requests
For access, correction, deletion or a privacy complaint, use the contact in your app’s policy or email hello@palingen.com.au.
What to include
Name the app and describe the information or concern. An approximate date and a reference may help locate it. Do not send passwords, access codes, payment details or a copy of an identity document unless a secure verification step has been agreed.
Delete QIFM or QIFM Pocket report data
Email xrogalsky@icloud.com with the subject “QIFM data deletion request” or “QIFM Pocket data deletion request”. Name the app, give the approximate date and topic of the report, and ask us to delete the report and any printed copy we hold. Include the station only if it helps locate the report. You do not need an app account.
The report data includes your text, category, station/setup, app version and platform, and vehicle/guide context where included. Online queued reports are deleted when printing is acknowledged, or expire after 30 days if unprinted. The service keeps a one-way IP hash for abuse prevention for up to one hour after the latest report, plus station/day counters for up to two days. Printed copies have no automatic online expiry; identify them in your request so we can consider and arrange their disposal.
We will consider deletion of report data and copies we control and explain any retention obligation or inability to identify a report. Provider logs and recovery backups can have separate retention. Copies already shared with another organisation are controlled by that organisation. Quote inputs and station settings held only on your device can be cleared in the app or removed by deleting the app; we cannot erase them remotely.
Workplace records
Your organisation controls its operational records. Its fleet manager or audit coordinator is often the best first contact. We can help route a request. Device removal or uninstalling an app does not automatically delete records already submitted, emailed, printed or held by your organisation.
What happens next
We may need to verify that the information relates to you. We will consider the request and explain any limitations, including applicable retention obligations or records controlled by another organisation. If your concern remains unresolved, you can contact the OAIC where applicable.
